Onkyo TX-NR3007 AV receiver with HQV Reon VX video scaling to 1080p, high definition audio support, network audio streaming and multi zone output.
The TX-NR3007 pulls together high definition audio, video, multizone functionality and network audio streaming into one device and a high quality amplification stage as well.
If you store a lot of audio on your home network then the TX-NR3007 can access that storage and free the music within. Instead of sitting in-front of your PC to listen, enjoy the advanced amplification and let the compressed audio restorer circuit bring back subtleties the compression systems can remove. Or you can go further afield for your music and tap the mass of internet radio stations available including Last FM and vTuner.
The on-screen display will help guide you through this selection and all other settings and operation of the receiver. The video circuit will also ensure you always get the best image possible thanks to the HQV Reon VX scaling and processing system. This is some of the best video circuitry available in an AV receiver or any other home device. All signals can be up-converted to component and HDMI meaning a single connection to your monitor is all that is needed. With twin HDMI out you can have two monitor devices showing the same images, a projector and large screen TV for example. (Both can be active at the same time.) To push your video images still further the receiver can be video calibrated to ISF standards. (Image Science Foundation). Specialist engineers will analyse the video imagery and adjust all the settings to obtain the optimum images for your environment. More details HERE.
Audio processing is top class also to keep up with the video circuits. 7.1 channel high definition audio is fully catered for plus two new systems from Audyssey and Dolby. Dolby Pro-Logic IIz can be applied over the other processing to produce two extra channels of front information. These extra channels are placed above the front left and right speakers to produce a larger stage round the screen. They are ambient speakers taking cues from the front and surround channels to broaden the imagery and create superb 'fly-overs' as well. The Audyssey DSX system has a similar process or it can be switched to produce a front wide image instead. These extra channel are placed outside the normal front left and right to widen the soundfield. Again this processing can be applied over any normal Dolby/DTS processing the receiver is doing.
Built to THX Ultra 2+ standards you are assured of a well constructed machine with the ability to play at reference levels without distortion.Processing chips are Texas Instruments Aureus DA830 and DA788's with Burr brown 192kHz/24-bit DAC's employed for all channels. Custom made transistors are used to provide high current to the speakers, advanced amplification design helps control the 180w available for each channel and a low jitter clock means the sound is clean and accurate.
There are three transformers for the receiver. One main one to provide amplification power and two additional ones for audio and video circuits. This ensures a cleaner supply for each section.
Not HDMI compatible with the latest Panasonic Viera TVs
If you require audio in different rooms too there are pre out's for zone 2 and 3 that can independently switch analogue audio sources to amplifiers in these different rooms. Zone 2 even has its own composite video connection. This method leaves the main area to run as 9.2. Should you prefer the amplification in the TX-NR1007 can be used to drive the extra rooms reducing the main area to either 7.2 and a powered zone or 5.2 and two powered zones.
This flexible amplification can also be used to bi-amplify the front left and right channels, the surround back/zone 3 terminals would be used for this reducing the main zone to 5.1.
iPod users can take advantage of the Universal port and the UP-A1 iPod dock. This single cable connection carries audio, video and control signals plus charges the iPod as well. You can also add a hideaway DAB tuner (UP-DT1) in conjunction with the dock further expanding your options. A USB connection is available under the front flap for streamingaudio from a USB stick or similar. Apply the compressed music enhancer and you would never know it was compressed MP3 playing.
