Shallow Depth Yet Great Performance

You would think that a ceiling speaker with only 2.56” (65mm) of depth would be, a bit “thin” sounding? The ELAN acoustical engineers tried many approaches to this shallow design mandate and nailed an almost perfect combination of diameter, cone curvature and suspension materials to achieve what many thought couldn’t be done – a smooth sounding shallow depth ceiling speaker. Additionally, the ES71C features a custom “Q” single-pole crossover, a3/4” (19mm) pivoting tweeter, a winglet mounting system that accommodates up to 1.25”(32mm) ceiling material, 50 watt power rating and a powder coated steel back box that seals the speaker providing excellent sound isolation preventing sound migration to rooms above.
