This in wall iPod docking station is designed for distributed audio systems and works with all current versions of iPod excluding the shuffle.

The docking station mounts to a single gang American J box. A single Cat5e is used to connect to the output plat which also fixes to an American J back box. The output plate presents RCA phono for audio output, DC power input to power the system and charge the iPod and an IR input for connection to an IR receiver at the output plate.

There is also an built in IR Receiver at the docking station. The system can accept commands to play, pause, skip forward and skip back. HEX codes are available or you can use the Apple remote.
